Do you clean Indian sandstone patios?
Yes. We select the approach to suit the stone and its condition, including a soft wash technique where appropriate. Send photographs of the stone, staining and joints so we can discuss the clean and any suitable treatment.
Is re-sanding included?
Yes. Every block paving driveway clean includes deep cleaning between all the blocks, algae treatment where needed and re-sanding, all within the quoted price. We use kiln-dried sand once the paving and joints are bone dry, either late the same sunny day or on an agreed return visit.
Can black spots or oil stains be removed?
These marks may need specialist treatment and results vary with their cause, age and the surface. Send close-up photographs so we can discuss realistic expectations.
Do you offer patio repointing?
Yes. We offer both localised joint repairs and full patio repointing, depending on the condition of the existing joints and the work you require. We can fill missing sections where the surrounding jointing is sound, or cut out and remove the old jointing before fully repointing the patio. We recommend a suitable resin jointing compound. Please send photos of your patio and joints so we can assess what’s needed and provide a separate quote. Repointing and joint repairs are not included in the patio cleaning price.
Do you seal patios or driveways?
No, we don’t offer sealing, and in our experience the vast majority of our customers don’t need it. We’ve often found that sealants need attention again after around a year, although this varies with the product, surface and use. We generally favour a clean, natural finish. Sealing may be worth considering if you specifically want a wet-look finish or extra protection in an area frequently exposed to oil spills, but it won’t remove existing oil stains. For most properties, we recommend cleaning; re-sanding is included as standard for block paving driveways.
What should I do before my driveway or patio is cleaned?
For driveway cleaning, please remove all cars from the driveway for the day. For patios, please move pots, garden furniture and other items off the area so we can access and clean the whole surface easily.
We’ll need access to a working outside tap. If you don’t have one, we can sometimes use an indoor tap instead—please let us know beforehand so we can agree suitable access and connections.
Does weather affect the job?
Weather doesn’t affect the driveway or patio clean itself; it only affects when we can re-sand block paving. The paving and joints need to be bone dry before we apply kiln-dried sand. On a really sunny day, we may be able to re-sand later that afternoon. Otherwise, we’ll return the next day or at your earliest convenience once everything is completely dry. Re-sanding and any return visit are included in the block paving driveway cleaning price.
How do I get a quote?
Please send your full address and postcode, along with photos of the driveway or patio if possible. Include the approximate area if known and anything you’d particularly like addressed, such as algae or staining. We’ll review the details and put together a quote. For block paving driveways, re-sanding is included as standard.
Can I book more than one service?
Yes, we can combine services in one visit. You can book gutter clearance, gutter, fascia and soffit exterior cleaning, render and K-Rend cleaning, driveway cleaning, patio cleaning and decking cleaning. Just let us know what you’d like cleaned and we’ll put together a quote.
Do you work with businesses too?
Yes. We provide this service for homes and businesses. Send your full address and postcode, photos if possible, and any access requirements so we can discuss the work and put together a quote.
